Entered service February 2, 1943. Trained at Miami Beach, Fla.,
(Basic Training) ; Kingman, Arizona, (Arial Gunnery) ; Amarillo, Texas, (Airplane Mechs.); Dalhart, Texas (Combat Training).

Assigned to Army Air Force as Engineer –Gunner on B-17 “Fortress”.
Served in Newfoundland, two weeks sub patrol; 8th Air Force, 94th Bomb. Group (H), 332nd Squadron, Bury St. Edmunds, England.

Met John Semprazik at Amarillo Texas, 1943. Trained in States with
Chet Roberts. Visited Chet Roberts at his Squadron in England, 1944. Completed 34 missions.

Awards: Distinguished Flying Cross; Air Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters; E.T.O. Ribbon, 2 Battle Stars;
2 Presidential Citations; Good Conduct Medal.

Date of discharge April 28, 1945.

Graduated New Milford Junior High School June 1938.
